This is a recording of all in-flight announcements from a flight attendant, the first officer and captain during a flight from atlanta to new york on august 17, 2018, recorded directly from the headphone jack at my seat with a zoom h1n. Each clip is separated by a few seconds of silence. For authenticity, i left all the dc voltage spikes and electronic noise in place. This may be useful if you want an authentic announcement without the acoustics, i. E. Use your own speaker sims or impulse responses to fit into an existing sound design environment. I never did figure out why the first officer said "hello. . . Are you back there? hello? hello?" but it has been captured anyway.

After reaching 10,000ft, the in-flight instructions come over the intercom, spoken by an on-board flight-attendant. The flight is a commercial airliner in route to chicago-midland airport from denver.

Recorded with zoom h2n ambisonic b-format (no z track), airplane cabin with passenger chatter and seatbelt announcement. *note: you will need to decode this b-format ambisonic file with a plug-in such as the surroundzone2 which allows you to decode the file to a surround, stereo, or mono format. Also note that these are fuma bformat files converted from ambix format.

Recorded in a small park in san diego, ca close to the shore. You'll mostly hear construction workers and an airplane flying overhead. Recorded outside with a zoom h5 using the stereo microphones that come with it. There is a bit of noise in this one.

In-cabin recording of a qatar airways boeing 787 dreamliner landing at doha international airport (qatar), followed by announcements in arabic and english. The aircraft touches down at 0:47, the english in-flight arrival announcement is broadcast at 3:44, and there is a bounty of ambient noise including seatbelts clicking, bags zipping, and chatter from passengers. This was recorded in-person from my seat with a tascam dr-40. I was located mid-section (just behind the wings) in an aisle seat. Carpenters and other workmen are heard more or less throughout. Cars and trucks pass by frequently; trucks beeping as they back up are also heard. This sound is 50 ms, 2000 hz pure tone with double linear fadeout through it's whole length. Sampling rate of 8 khz is already an overkill (nyquist frequency is at 4 khz, while all energy of this sound is present in narrow 2 khz frequency range).
